Tunes of the Month

As my friends and I are starting to share music with each other more and more, I want rely my finds on to y'all. Like clothes, music is a way to express yourself. My music taste is just as eclectic as my fashion taste. Comment below if y'all have any other recommendations:)

These next songs aren't in the playlist.com archive because the artists aren't well-known yet. I appreciate a good rap song with powerful vocals. I've been following OnCue for about three years when I stumbled across his Cuey Sings the Blues album. He raps about some pretty meaningful stuff.

I've already dedicated an entire post to The Neighbourhood. They're just incredible! "Baby Came Home" is another favorite of mine off "I'm Sorry...". A friend and I have tickets to see them next week with Atlas Genius!  Look for their new album, "I Love You", April 23.

Power Clashing

When referencing power clashing to my friends, I received perplexed looks. I've taken it upon myself to educate them and any of y'all who might find the meaning a little ambiguous. Power clashing is the combination of clothing items that, according to style etiquette, do not go together. Think of it was mixing prints. For most people that is an extreme faux pas. However, when done tastefully, people will stare at you in passing thinking, "Who's that cool cat?".

Tips:
1) Mix small and large prints
              2) Offset a floral print with polka dots
    3) Double up on the same print
         5) Keep it in the same color family
              4) Polka dots and stripes always work

My turn.

Tea Time

When I hear tea party I think: pearls, lace, floral and dainty gloves. I hit on two of these for today. My Aunt was sweet enough to find gloves galore for me at a garage sale and this was the first time I got to break them out at Southern Saccharine's Graduation Tea!

We got to take home our tea cup!

Alec hit the lace.

San Francisco Part IV: Golden Gate

Day four we hit Golden Gate Bridge and Park. After walking the bridge, we took a bus to the park. Re-energizing with a quick tiger snooze, we wandered further into Golden Gate Park and discovered this guy busted some sweet moves on a BMX bike. I sort of got a clip on friend's phone. I'm hoping to make a video full of short clips. To my chagrin, I'm not awesome with technology.

San Francisco Part III: Muir Woods

Day three we hiked Muir Woods. A hostel employee was kind enough to sit down with us and give us the 411 on which buses to take and which transfers to catch. Instead of starting at the bottom at the park's official entrance, we took a bus to the top to bypass the entrance fee. We broke. The views were breathtaking and the trees humongous!
